Project Medicine Drop


The Scotch Plains Police Department would like to announce that Project Medicine Drop is now open to the public. The box is located in the desk area of police headquarters and is open for drop off 24 hours a day. If the building is locked, use the intercom to let dispatch know that you are here to drop off your unused medication and they will buzz you in. Please note what types of medications can and cannot be deposited in the box, absolutely NO LIQUIDS, SYRINGES OR MEDICAL WASTE ARE TO BE DEPOSITED, EVER! Also, once the medication is placed in the drop box, there is absolutely no retrieval of it at any time. Check and double check the medication you are putting in to make sure you are not depositing any current medications that you need! If you have any questions please feel free to contact Lt. Please encourage others to utilize one of the drop boxes for unused prescribed medications to help keep our community safe!
