Thank you for your interest in signing up for Scotch Plains Township Community Notification System. We are proud to offer this new service to the public. A Community Notification System gives Scotch Plains Township a chance to reach out to the public in case of an emergency or event. This system, combined with our other emergency alert methods, is designed to get emergency messages to you the public, quickly and effectively. This system simply provides an opportunity for us to disseminate important information to you if and when the need arises. The reason for this form is to gather as many means of contact as you may have, so that in the event of an emergency that affects Scotch Plains Township, we can notify you in multiple ways.
The secure, customized Community Notification Enrollment (CNE) page allows residents and businesses to add or update their contact information to ensure they will be included when a message is sent – unlisted numbers, mobile numbers, TDD/TTY requirements can all be entered. This system is used to notify the community of emergency situations as well as Scotch Plains Township events. If you do not want to receive the 'General' notifications and only the emergency notifications, you can select that under personal preferences when you sign up.
